Its been a while since I posted one of my clients sites for review.

I am redesigning First Hand Healing. Only the home page is up so far, but please give me your thoughts.

I don't like the logo at all, but I don't think you can really complain about the rest of it. :)

Thanks Brad. Could you go into more detail? What's wrong with the logo? What would you change?

i thought the same thing about the logo. the linking of the letters is amateur and makes it illegible. better you put it together like youve done for the favicon.

Yeh, it's nice but I love the current one you did. The logo could be better for the afromentioned reasons and im not sure about the solid underline on Home (or possibly just current page), I think all dotted would look a little better but try it and see.

I think all the links should be solidly underlined, not dotted? Just my opinion.

And at the logo.. Maybe make it so it's not so much like a ladder? It just looks too weird.

Annnd the FavIcon. I think the FHH should be inline? Not have the F higher than both the two H's.

Everything else looks sextacular.

Edit: "Web have a brand new website!". Should be "We have a brand new website!" ya?

I'd like a logo much more if it wasn't based 100% on how the text was positioned. Although you can do some interesting things with that concept, it's much better if you incorporate shapes and symbols into it. Playing with text is the easy way out for someone who isn't great at logo design, but it's amazing what you can come up with when you pour in even minimal creativity.

As I said - it looks better (marginally) than the current 700px wide flash template. In my opinion it could do with a few more relevant images - other than those lifebouy things - to bring the site to life.

also, the link to your site yells 'i care more about my page rank then my customers'.

Adam I'm sure I would care more about PageRank than my customer, he has never heard of it before.

Which link are you talking about? The news bit? That will be edited soon, but there is nothing wrong with me placing a link to my site in the footer.

On the contrary, it's actually a great way to cross promote all your clients sites through a link network. Especially helpful if you're someone who specializes in SEO.. Alec, anyone?

i meant that you care more about your own page rank than your actual customers. (not than they do).

but will makes a good point that i hadnt really considered.

still, if i paid for a website i would not want the footer link. maybe it is just my pet peeve so to speak.

Yeah I know you meant that I was just taking the piss lol ;)

Your right some people don't like the designers copyrite on it. That's fine and whenever that happens I take it away. On this occasion my client doesent mind in the slightest, and yes it is a very powerful inbound link for my site.

neat way you pretended not to understand basic rules of grammar in order to do so. i should try that some time.

if they dont mind it then i guess its fine. i would mind it though - thats all.

OK I will be changing the logo soon to what the client prefers.

that would of been worse. Fake as fuck. People do that on here. Criticise grammar or spelling, but make sure that their post is perfect. They wouldnt normally do that, its crap.

</holden>
