Just to let you know, if you don't already, your dashboard now allows you to keep track of all the topics you have been reading in the past few days.
Now, if you check back on your dashboard every so often you will also notice that the unread posts you've been missing for the past few weeks will show up with a nice image next to them in that list, so you can now finally tell what's new.
This system is a bit different to the old one, since you'll only be notified about threads which you have read before. I believe this is better because some people won't want to be notified about threads they really don't care about if they don't find them interesting. So for example if Tubby or just.xTc post about obscure drug talk and Brad doesn't want to know about it, he can just ignore that thread and he won't be notified about it. Then hopefully an admin like Alec or myself will come along and delete that rubbish from the forums.
What this also means is that you're going to need to pay attention to the newest threads being posted here. That isn't a problem, as I've changed the "Latest forum action" to "Latest threads" and I've also implemented an RSS feed accessible from the forums homepage that can be used in Netvibes or your favourite RSS aggregator. For some reason, in IE it seems to be breaking but in every standard compliant browser it is not.
