So I came across the Firefox Campus Edition today.

It looks to be simply Firefox, with the StumbleUpon, FoxyTunes and Zotero extension as well as a few other gadgets.

What do people think? Have you used it before?

I've used the StumbleUpon toolbar before, but uninstalled it due to the fact it took up vital browser real estate. As for FoxyTunes, it's great as long as you disable the bloat - I have it on both Firefox and Thunderbird. Zotero I've never used before, I just use Notepad to be honest..

I also have used all but Zotero. Wasn't really what I'm looking for.

To be honest, a 'school' version of Firefox should come with a built in proxy :p

When Opera does become superior.

Personally I think, to take the time to make the site, promote, etc for a browser they just installed a couple of extensions into, is a waste of time and money.

Agreed. Not many people will use it, they hardly marketed it. And it's hardly anything new.

Although I disagree, touché sir.

They did the same thing with the Firefox Ebay Edition site, but to be honest all you need is a press release and you've got all the publicity you'll ever want.. ..if you're Mozilla.

we dont care about opera. guess why. firefox has a more active community - more plugins. it DOES more. and it suits our needs - we dont NEED and integrated bittorent and irc client. to us that is bloat. on that note WE DONT CARE about the difference in size from firefox to opera. it doesnt change our browsing speed enough to make it worth switching.

the browsers are practically identical. we have firefox - we are used to firefox. we are apathetic. you annoy us.
