Dear visitors,
I'm sorry there have been no updates to the site recently. Truth be told I've lost the enthusiasm for web development sites as I don't have the time to write tutorials endlessly anymore.

It was fun using this site as a way to self teach myself about all the cool stuff, but now I'm using those skills to do things that are even cooler and aren't generic (as in my opinion there are too many tutorial sites out there now)

I'm really not sure whether it's worth finishing this site off at the moment - as far as it's concerned it's on an indefinite hiatus in terms of completion. However with the encouragement, I could see it becoming something.

On the bright side, I definitely plan on keeping some sort of community running here. Many people are happy with the forums I've built, so I'm looking to creating a better version of those to end up running on the domain if "all else fails"..

Hoping you enjoy the monkey on your dashboard,
Will

Hi Will,

Just a random thank you. I had to write an age-check script, asap. I love php, but hadn't actually messed with cookies in PHP, so I wanted a quick reference as I coded. I found your tutorial on the subject, and also discovered the ctype_digit() function, which is great.

Anyway, with your tut as a handy reference, this page can now live in ESRB harmony:

Thanks for taking the time to put up the tutorial! There are far too many tutorial sites out there, but that's partly because there are far too many crappy ones where nothing is explained, the examples are bad, and the code is in a textarea with 40 columns and 3 rows. ;)

shame to hear that Will; on the plus side I DID enjoy the monkey :)

why not transform the site into community driven where you vet the content the users submit? you've got a nice little engine working and it would be a shame to see you throw away the site after knowing how much work you've put into it..

Yeah, you should definitely just finish the forums and have that up by itself. Tutorials are all over the place anyway.

yeah, Brad's right. You can find tutorials everywhere, for whatever you need. It isn't every day one finds forums like this. Please finish them, Will!
